OURPROCESS
1. WHAT MATTERS MOST
Identify the challenges unique to the organization and the position
Share our thinking on what it will take to be successful in the role, pushing back on clients’ points of view as appropriate and offering alternative thoughts on defining the position
Create, in concert with the client, a tight candidate specification that covers the current situation, role, responsibilities, characteristics and competencies, challenges and goals that lead to success
Seek clarity on key stakeholder priorities and preferences
Delve deeply into the culture and challenges facing the organization to ensure “fit” as well as competency
2. DEFINE OUR APPROACH
Conduct focused research on industry segments and specific companies/organizations with relevant profiles to augment our wide network of executive sources
Build a prospect list of multiple candidates to provide a broad spectrum for consideration
Conduct discreet conversations with our network on candidates’ qualifications to facilitate productive client conversations
3. Attract and vet candidates
Contact and entice strong prospects to consider alternative career roles
Conduct intense competency based interviews tied closely to the necessary competencies and characteristics required for success in the new role
Winnow the prospect list to a tight group of interested and exceptional candidates
4. Present short list of finalists
Create in-depth profiles relative to the spec including an “ in their own words” view of the match between candidates’ track records and the future challenges of the role
Vet and verify all factual elements of the finalist’s profile through research and referencing
5. Close the search
Lead or assist in crafting and negotiating the offer
Support the candidate during the often difficult time of leaving their current role
Conduct regular “check ins” with the client and candidate in the early stages of the new job
A FINAL NOTE
The key to success is open communication with both client and candidate. By maintaining a constant dialogue with both parties as the search progresses we avoid any last minute surprises or changes of heart
